Are there sharks or alligators?

The waters around Tybee Island are rich with different sea life. Sharks are abundant around Tybee Island, Little Tybee Island, and the rest of Georgia's coastline.

Alligators are not found as often at the coast because the salt content is very high. They are found a little further inland in the swamps and in the freshwater lakes and ponds in the coastal area. I've only seen one alligator and that was when I was leading an alligator tour in the swamps.
